ASSISTANT ACCESS

Use Brick from your assistant.

Turn a handover review pack into a focused list of gaps and next steps in Codex or Claude Code.

Use the export workflow below for your handover records. The separate public MCP endpoint provides sample planning tools.

HANDOVER IN CODEX OR CLAUDE CODE

Start with your review pack.

Export the review JSON from your handover workspace. Give that file to your assistant to prepare a gap summary and questions for your receiving team.

  1. Review document matches in Brick.
  2. Open Check handover and choose Download review pack (JSON).
  3. Share that file with your assistant and use this prompt.
Open the handover workspace

Your files stay in this browser until you export and share them. This is a file handoff, not a connected assistant: MCP cannot access these records, and assistant suggestions do not update Brick.

Autodesk Tandem / APS

Bring energy, resilience and reviewed handover results into your Tandem facility. Start with Autodesk’s Snowdon Towers sample, map results to asset properties, then review and publish.

Try the sample planning tools

  1. 1

    Add a remote tool server

Open the tool or connector settings in an assistant that supports remote MCP. Add the server URL shown here.

  2. 2

    Check what’s available

Use “Check connection” to verify this Brick endpoint. In your assistant, review the listed tools and enable the ones you want.

  3. 3

    Ask for a useful output

Try one of the prompts below. Review its assumptions and sources before making a workplace decision.

Using localhost? Your assistant must be able to reach this computer. A cloud-hosted assistant needs a reachable deployed URL.

Configuration for compatible desktop clients

If your assistant accepts an mcpServers configuration, add this entry. Other clients ask for the server URL directly.

For developers: use the JSON API

The same tools accept a JSON argument object at /api/assistant-tools/[name]. Successful responses contain a result field.

BUILT-IN SAMPLE TOOLS

What you can ask Brick to do

These tools return information or a draft. They do not operate a real building or send messages.

Understand the sample hospital

Building and room context for the reference hospital. This is not live BMS telemetry.

get_building_context

Screen a site’s county hazards

Historical NYC county evidence and sources. Locations outside coverage stay unknown.

assess_site_risk

Compare an energy package

Modeled costs and savings with explicit assumptions. No equipment is purchased or changed.

compare_energy_package

Prepare a work-order draft

Turn an issue into a structured draft to review. It is not submitted to a maintenance system.

prepare_work_order

TRY A CONVERSATION

Start with a specific job.

“Use Brick to describe the sample hospital and tell me which information is simulated.”
“Screen 40.742, −73.974 for county hazards. Include the sources and explain what the scores cannot tell me.”
“Compare efficient HVAC and room sensors for a 6,720 m² hospital. Show the assumptions behind the cost and savings.”
“Draft a work order for a room that feels too warm. Ask for the location and missing details. Do not submit it.”

CONNECTION SCOPE

Your workplace systems are not connected.

This public instance has no connection to your BMS, Teams, Slack, or CMMS. Those systems need a separate implementation, verified access and site-specific review.

Data, drafts and technical details
  • The optional Tandem connector requires facility access and explicit property mapping. It publishes selected scalar summaries, not original documents or quotations.
  • The endpoint is public and exposes sample context plus tools that process the arguments you send. Do not send patient information or private building credentials.
  • County evidence uses loaded historical source snapshots; it is not a parcel assessment or event probability.
  • Energy results are illustrative model outputs, not a quote or measured savings.
  • A work-order draft remains a draft. The assistant tools do not save it to the inbox, dispatch it or notify anyone.
  • The connection check uses MCP initialization and tool discovery; success does not mean your assistant or workplace system has been connected.
